Excerpts from the ChicagoTribune.com:

Two Chicago firefighters were hospitalized after falling through a hole in the third floor of an apartment building near Monroe Street and Albany Avenue. The incident occurred during a fire that spread from the main structure to a nearby 1½-story building on Sunday evening.

A mayday call was issued around 8:45 p.m. Saturday when two firefighters fell all the way down to the first floor. One managed to exit on his own, while others assisted the second firefighter into an ambulance. Both were in serious-to-critical condition upon arrival at the hospital but were reported to be alert and conscious by Sunday night. They were expected to remain under observation for further evaluation.

Over 100 firefighters and medics responded to the scene. It appears the building lacked working smoke detectors. While no one was reported to be living on the second or third floors, there were individuals present on the first floor.

This from Chi-Town Fire Photos:

Sunday night, the MFAO dispatched units to a working fire at 3104 W. Monroe Street. Upon arrival, Battalion 18 found a three-story brick building with heavy fire on the first, second, and third floors, along with an exposure risk. A still and box were requested shortly after. Companies deployed six or more hand lines, with two truck companies working on the roof.

For a brief period, heavy fire was visible venting from the roof and top floor. During operations, several firefighters fell through a floor opening, triggering a Mayday alert and the activation of the RIT (Rapid Intervention Team). I believe the RIT team successfully rescued one of the injured firefighters from the rear of the building.

The fire was intense, and the response was demanding. Fortunately, the injuries sustained by the firefighters were not life-threatening. These photos were taken approximately ten minutes into the fire.

Electric Spray Bottle

An electric Spray Bottle is an advanced version of a traditional spray bottle, powered by electricity or batteries. It is designed to dispense liquids such as water, cleaning solutions, or pesticides in a fine mist. The main advantage of an electric spray bottle over a manual one is that it requires less effort to use. It can continuously spray with just a press of a button, making it easier for tasks like watering plants, cleaning, or disinfecting. Some electric spray bottles also allow you to adjust the intensity of the mist according to your needs.Plastic Spray Bottles
