I was at Carol Stream when a house fire call came in, and I responded with the companies. The police reported smoke visible from the street. Carol Stream Battalion 28 confirmed there was light smoke at 409 Thunderbird Trail, which is within a mile of Station 28.

The companies handled a small fire using a pump can. The call came shortly after the shift change, which explains why some firefighters weren’t in full gear and were helping the on-duty crews.
