From 6th to 8th, Yancheng Local Maritime Bureau held the first sea cruiser pilot skill competition in Jiangsu Province. The participants of the competition are the drivers of the local local maritime system working post (including auxiliary law enforcement personnel). According to reports, the content of the competition consists of two parts: theoretical testing and practical competition, of which theoretical results account for 30% of the total score, and actual performance accounts for 70% of the total score. Theoretical test content: "Inland river collision avoidance rules", basic knowledge of navigation channels, crew responsibilities, ship emergency and "River Vessel Logging Record Rules", etc., may refer to the second class driver training materials. The practical competition is divided into 5 subjects: out-of-the-harbour maneuver, continuous-entry U-turn manoeuvre, straight-line reverse manoeuvring, narrow-narrow channel “S” curved navigation and docking maneuvers. The competition is set up with individual awards, group awards and outstanding organization awards. Individuals and groups are divided into first, second and third prizes, including one first prize, two second prizes, three third prizes, and several outstanding organizational awards. Individual teams receive a certain amount of material rewards. Units that receive group awards are given points at the end of the year.
