[China Instrument Network Instrument R&D] From June 20 to June 21, the National Natural Science Foundation of China carried out a final acceptance test of the “High Resolution Multifunctional Chemical Imaging System” for a major instrument development project undertaken by the Institute of Chemistry of the Chinese Academy of Sciences in Beijing.

Acceptance meeting site
The relevant person in charge of the National Natural Science Foundation of China, the relevant person in charge of the Condition Guarantee and Finance Bureau of the Chinese Academy of Sciences, the project acceptance expert group, the project supervision team, the relevant personnel of the chemical institute, and all members of the project team attended the project acceptance meeting. The project acceptance expert group consists of 18 experts including the instrument testing group, the financial acceptance group, and the file acceptance group. Chai Zhifang, an academician of the Chinese Academy of Sciences, serves as the head of the acceptance expert group. The final acceptance will be chaired by Chen Yongjun, Deputy Director of the Department of Chemistry of the National Natural Science Foundation of China.
Yao Jianian, deputy director of the National Natural Science Foundation of China, pointed out in his speech that the establishment of a major instrument development project conforms to the needs of the national innovation-driven development strategy. Instrument innovation is the source of scientific research innovation. Chen Yongjun introduced the project initiation process of the "high-resolution multi-functional chemical imaging system" project, and put forward specific requirements for acceptance work. Cao Ning, Deputy Director of the Bureau of Condition Protection and Finance of the Chinese Academy of Sciences, introduced the supervisory system and supervision of the Chinese Academy of Sciences, and expressed his gratitude to the Committee for its long-term support for the instrument innovation of the Chinese Academy of Sciences.
The project leader Wan Lijun, a member of the Chinese Academy of Sciences, gave a detailed report on the completion of the “High Resolution Multifunctional Chemical Imaging System” project. The system includes super-resolution optical STED imaging module, CARS imaging module, AFM imaging module, confocal-excited MALDI-MS imaging module, SIMS mass spectrometry imaging module, and the like, and can realize the realization of each module on the basis of individual work of each module. In combination with imaging, the morphology and chemical composition of complex system interface structures are characterized at the nanoscale and molecular level.
The instrument testing expert group conducted on-site rigorous testing of the instrument before the acceptance meeting. All technical indicators met or exceeded the requirements of the mission book. Using the developed chemical imaging system, the project team has achieved a series of research results in the field of interface structure and function of energy materials and biological systems, applied for more than 40 international and domestic invention patents, authorized 4 international patents, and 14 domestic patents. A number of high-level papers. During the implementation of the project, the project team has explored new mechanisms for the training of technical personnel and formed a unique and multidisciplinary scientific instrument development team.
The acceptance expert team on-site reviewed the operating conditions of the development system and accepted the financial and archival documentation. The acceptance expert group heard supervision report, instrument test report, file acceptance report and financial acceptance report. Through on-site inspections and hearing reports, the acceptance panel believes that the project has completed the development tasks specified in the implementation plan, achieved the project's expected goals, and agreed that the project passed acceptance.

Bottle Jack

The bottle jack is one of the oldest and most familiar pieces of hydraulic equipment.

This familiarity contributes to misuse which can lead to personal injury. The bottle jack

is a load lifting device and should never be used as a load holding device, especially

when a person will be going underneath the supported load.
