Refinery Water Treatment Agent Efficient Oil Removal and Slag Removal
The Sinopec Fushun Petrochemical Research Institute has successfully developed a new refinery wastewater treatment agent, which has demonstrated remarkable performance after being applied at the Sinopec Zhenhai Refining & Chemicals Branch. This innovative agent significantly enhances the efficiency of wastewater and sludge treatment in refineries, bringing their sewage management technology to a leading domestic standard. Recently, the product was granted three Chinese patents, ensuring it holds independent intellectual property rights.
According to the information, this water treatment agent excels in oil removal, effectively meeting the water quality requirements for subsequent biochemical treatment while substantially reducing sludge production. At Zhenhai Refining & Chemical Co., Ltd., the generated sludge is now processed within the coking chemical section, achieving the goal of not sending it out of the factory. This approach not only lowers the cost associated with external transportation and processing of sludge but also minimizes environmental risks linked to its transport.
Compared to similar agents developed abroad, this new treatment agent shows excellent compatibility with inorganic polyaluminum chloride (PAC). This compatibility improves the oil removal efficiency, reduces sludge generation, and lowers the usage of organic treatment agents. As a result, raw material costs are reduced, and the system offers greater operational flexibility. It can adapt to varying water quality conditions caused by changes in crude oil types or processing technologies, making it a versatile and efficient solution for modern refining operations.
