China Drying Network News The amino acid and organic acid industry development forum organized by China Biofermentation Industry Association and hosted by Angel Yeast Co., Ltd. was held recently in Yichang, Hubei Province. About 220 people from industry experts and business representatives participated in the forum. Affected by rising costs and sluggish markets, the overall growth of the amino acid industry has slowed. It is predicted that lysine production this year will be about 4.75 million tons, which is basically the same as last year; high value-added phenylalanine, proline and other productions encouraged by the national policy show an increase, and the prospects are good. At the same time, the overall production of organic acids showed a negative growth. In the first nine months of this year, the citric acid production of the companies included in the statistics was 750,000 tons, a decrease of 5.06% year-on-year. In view of the current industry intensified competition, single product raw materials, weak innovation and R & D capabilities, increased pressure on cleaner production and energy conservation and emission reduction, the forum proposed that the development of the four major industrial chains should be accelerated, that is, to speed up the establishment of the bio-based materials industry chain. Accelerate the construction of an industrial chain for the application and development of enzyme preparations, speed up the construction of a non-food bio-energy development and utilization industry chain, and accelerate the construction of a functional sugar industry chain. At the same time, companies should be encouraged to upgrade their independent innovation capabilities and focus on the development of high value-added products.
