Chemical Enterprises Doing Agriculture Three Gorges Forum National Top Ten Grain Models
From February 26th to 28th, top grain modelers from eight provinces and autonomous regions across China—including Shanxi, Inner Mongolia, Liaoning, Zhejiang, Guangdong, Gansu, and Jiangxi—gathered in Yichang for the China Agricultural Three Gorges Forum hosted by Hubei Yihua, a leading fertilizer manufacturer. This event marked a significant step in strengthening communication between agricultural producers and industry leaders.
Organizers emphasized that understanding the sales process of fertilizers is crucial for effective distribution. By facilitating direct dialogue between farmers and manufacturers, they aim to improve the quality and affordability of agricultural inputs. In collaboration with agricultural experts, Hubei Yihua decided to host this large-scale forum, inviting the national top ten grain modelers to engage in face-to-face discussions with fertilizer companies. This marks the first time such a farmer-focused technical forum has been organized in China.
During the event, farmers from across the country expressed their hopes that major agricultural enterprises like Yihua Group would continue to produce high-quality, cost-effective fertilizers. They believe that strong industry support can significantly boost agricultural productivity. Yihua Group responded by stating that Chinese companies have the capability to produce both high-quality and affordable fertilizers, but sustained cooperation with farmers and workers is essential to ensure long-term contributions to China’s agricultural development.
At the meeting, Yihua Group announced that it will provide free experimental fertilizers to the national top ten grain modelers each year. These samples will be used in their fields to collect crop growth data, which will then guide farmers in the scientific use of fertilizers. The grain modelers praised Yihua's initiative, with Bai Jiang from Inner Mongolia’s Hulun Buir expressing confidence in Yihua’s products after visiting the factory. He plans to apply the fertilizers on his 70,000 mu of farmland. Similarly, Wei Yongxi from Guangdong’s Shanwei region noted that the forum highlighted the promising future of China’s chemical fertilizer industry.
Dr. Jiang Yuanhua, deputy to the 10th National People’s Congress and chairman of Hubei Yihua Group, stated: “Our goal is to expand our phosphorus and coal chemical industries and become a leading brand in China’s agricultural chemical sector. Supporting agriculture, rural areas, and farmers is not only our responsibility but also our mission.
