One of the main advantages of greenboards is their durability. The steel sheet base material is strong and long-lasting, while the green coating is resistant to scratches, stains, and other types of damage. This makes greenboards a good choice for high-traffic classrooms where the writing surface may be subject to frequent use. Greenboards are also easy to clean. The non-porous surface can be wiped clean with a damp cloth or eraser, making it quick and easy to maintain. Additionally, the green color of the board provides a high contrast for writing with chalk or markers, making it easy to read from a distance.
Another advantage of greenboards is that they are less reflective than whiteboards, which can reduce glare and eye strain for students and teachers. The matte finish of the green coating also provides a more natural writing surface, which some people may prefer over the smooth, slippery surface of a whiteboard.
Overall, greenboards are a popular choice for schools due to their durability, ease of cleaning, and high contrast writing surface. While digital whiteboards and other high-tech tools have become more common in some schools, greenboards remain a reliable and effective teaching aid in many classrooms.

Nationwide Boiler Inc., a global leader in temporary and permanent boiler systems, recently celebrated the success of its 40th Annual Charity Golf Tournament held at Pebble Beach, California. After a one-year hiatus due to the pandemic, the event returned with a strong focus on safety and community support. Despite a reduced attendance—about two-thirds of the usual number—the tournament raised an impressive $40,000, which will be split between Make-A-Wish® Greater Bay Area and the ABMA Randy Rawson Scholarship Fund.
The two-day event took place at The Links at Spanish Bay and the iconic Pebble Beach Golf Links. Participants enjoyed a practice round on the first day, followed by competitive play on the second. Funds were collected through hole sponsorships, team competitions like the four-man scramble and two-man best ball, mulligan sales, raffles, and for the first time ever, an online auction. This new addition allowed remote supporters to engage and contribute, helping to offset some of the lost revenue from the absence of in-person banquets.
Attendees included long-time customers, industry partners, and professionals from the boiler sector, all coming together to support meaningful causes. The event not only highlighted Nationwide Boiler’s commitment to the community but also continued its tradition of philanthropy that has spanned four decades.
Make-A-Wish® Greater Bay Area grants wishes to children with life-threatening illnesses, providing hope and joy during challenging times. Since its founding in 1984, the chapter has fulfilled over 8,500 wishes across 17 Northern California counties. Meanwhile, the ABMA Randy Rawson Scholarship Fund supports future engineers and technicians by offering financial assistance for post-secondary education in the boiler and combustion industries. To date, more than $200,000 has been awarded to deserving students.
Based in Fremont, CA, Nationwide Boiler has provided reliable boiler solutions to industrial clients for nearly 55 years. Beyond its core business, the company actively participates in local initiatives, including food drives, community events, and charitable donations throughout the year.
