**Unifying the Production Pipeline in the Cloud**
The complexity of modern film, TV, and game production makes collaboration a major challenge. With hundreds of people working across multiple locations, thousands of assets, and millions of versions, managing data can be overwhelming. That’s why we’ve developed Autodesk Flow, a new cloud solution designed to bring people, data, and workflows together across the entire production pipeline.
By centralizing asset management, Autodesk Flow ensures that all project information is accessible, consistent, and shared throughout the entire lifecycle of a project. This helps maintain continuity, reduce errors, and improve efficiency across large-scale productions.
One of the key tools in this ecosystem is Moxion, a cloud-based platform for digital dailies. It allows raw footage from the set to be reviewed instantly by anyone, anywhere — just minutes after capture. When combined with ShotGrid for project management, it streamlines the workflow and improves decision-making in real time.
Amazon Studios, the production arm of Prime Video, has been leveraging these tools to build its “6th Generation Studio.†By moving many aspects of production and post-production to the cloud, they’ve created a more connected and efficient pipeline. Eric Iverson, Director of Product Strategy at Amazon Studios, said, “These solutions are helping us maintain the integrity of our massive content slate and bring new stories to life faster than ever before.â€
**Driving the Industry Forward with Open Standards**
A fluid, cloud-based environment not only enhances collaboration but also supports open and interoperable workflows. By adopting open standards, the industry can reduce friction, improve scalability, and foster innovation.
Autodesk is actively contributing to this movement by open-sourcing tools like RV, which allows VFX and animation artists to review and compare high-resolution images and sequences in real time. We’re also collaborating with industry leaders such as Sony and DNEG on the Open Review Initiative, a new open-source project aimed at creating a unified toolset for playback, review, and approval.
In addition, we’re supporting key open standards like MaterialX, Open Color IO, gITF, and Open Timeline IO. These efforts are helping transform the industry from closed, siloed systems into a more collaborative, open ecosystem.
