The SCS series electronic platform scales and truck scales are mainly composed of the weighing platform, load cells, connectors, terminal blocks, and display units. Optional components include a large screen printer, computer, regulated power supply, and other external devices.
2. Working principle
When a vehicle or object is placed on the platform, gravity acts on it, transferring the weight to the load cell. The load cell deforms under the force, causing the strain gauges attached to the elastic element to produce an unbalanced electrical signal proportional to the weight. This signal is amplified by a linear amplifier, converted from analog to digital (A/D), and processed by the microprocessor (CPU) in the instrument to display the weight data directly. If a printer is connected, the data can be printed for record-keeping. With a computer configured, the measurement data can be integrated into a management system for comprehensive tracking and control.
