The concept and calculation of screening efficiency

By sieving efficiency is meant the percentage of the weight of the sieved product after sieving and the ratio of the fine fraction weight of the sieve feed which is less than the size of the sieve.

        Q ₁ - the fine-grained weight of the sieved product that is smaller than the size of the mesh, gram;

        Q ₀ - the fines weight in the feedstock that is smaller than the size of the sieve, in grams.

In actual production, since the sieving process is continuous, it is difficult to directly weigh the product weight of the screening operation. However, the products of the screening operation can be sampled and sieved, thereby obtaining the percentage of the fine fraction content of the sieved product, the sieve product and the sieve product which is smaller than the sieve size, so that the screening efficiency can be obtained by the following formula. Screening efficiency is an important indicator of the quality of the screen work, which indicates the extent to which the screening operation is carried out and the quality of the screened product.
