Autodesk has recently signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Taiwan Architecture and Building Center (TABC) to support the development of smart buildings and intelligent manufacturing within the AEC (Architecture, Engineering, and Construction) industry in Taiwan. This collaboration aims to leverage government initiatives promoting digital transformation and the adoption of intelligent technologies across the sector. Under the agreement, both parties will work together to promote the use of Fusion 360 and BIM (Building Information Modeling), offering training programs and fostering innovation in design and construction. The initiative is expected to bridge the gap between traditional practices and modern digital tools, helping local professionals stay competitive in an evolving industry. Chin-Fu Yang, Chairman of TABC, emphasized the transformative potential of Fusion 360 for the architecture sector. "Fusion 360 will revolutionize how we approach architectural design and project management. It enables seamless integration with existing workflows and paves the way for smarter buildings, communities, and cities," he said. Jui-Lin Chen, Director of the Architecture and Building Research Institute, highlighted the growing importance of BIM in smart architecture. "BIM is essential for creating efficient, sustainable, and technologically advanced structures. The Ministry of the Interior is actively pushing for its adoption in public projects, aligning with global trends in smart infrastructure." This partnership marks another milestone in Autodesk’s long-term efforts to strengthen the design and construction industries in Taiwan. In addition to this MoU, the company has been involved in initiatives like the “Design Dream Voyage” program, which introduces K-12 students to cutting-edge design tools and encourages creative problem-solving from an early age. Richard Li, Managing Director of Autodesk Greater China, expressed his enthusiasm for the collaboration. "We are committed to advancing 3D design capabilities across Taiwan. Partnering with TABC allows us to bring our expertise to the architecture industry and help it reach new levels of innovation and efficiency."
