Last year, Grant Park FPD (MABAS Division 7) began operating a former Beecher FPD 1996 Pierce Saber 1250/750, now renumbered as Engine 404.
Engine Co. 110 has taken over the role of the older 1982 Ford C8000/E-ONE 1000/1000, which has since been retired.

It's always interesting to see how fire apparatus gets transferred between departments, especially when they keep the same model and size. This shows that the 1996 Pierce Saber 1250/750 is still a reliable unit, and it’s great to see it being put to good use again. Meanwhile, the old Ford C8000 has been retired, making way for newer equipment. These kinds of changes are common in fire departments as they update their fleets and reallocate resources efficiently. It’s also cool to see Karl Klotz capturing these moments with his camera, helping preserve the history of local fire services.
