TBEA is the first to have UHV DC test capability
After more than four months of intensive work, TBEA has recently successfully completed the series resonant transformer and DC voltage generator technology upgrade project for the high-voltage test hall. This achievement marks the company's first capability in China to conduct tests on ±800kV DC converter transformers and smoothing reactors, significantly enhancing its technical competitiveness in ultra-high voltage (UHV) power equipment.
To meet the rigorous testing demands of ±800kV UHV products, this year, Shenheng initiated a comprehensive project titled "Series Resonant Transformer and DC Voltage Generator Technology Upgrade." Throughout the implementation, the engineering team demonstrated bold innovation, achieving over 90% energy efficiency improvement by utilizing the series resonant transformer system.
In addition, the team proposed an integrated structure DC voltage generator solution, which was successfully implemented by the manufacturing plant. As a result, Shenheng became the first company in China to produce fully integrated DC high-voltage equipment, setting a new benchmark in the industry.
Following a period of trial operation, the system has proven to be safe, stable, and highly reliable, fully meeting the demanding test requirements for ±800kV DC UHV products. This milestone not only strengthens TBEA’s position in the domestic market but also reinforces its global reputation as a leader in advanced power transmission technology.
