TBEA is the first to have UHV DC test capability
After more than four months of intensive effort, TBEA has recently successfully completed the series resonant transformer and DC voltage generator technology upgrade project for the high-voltage test hall. This achievement marks the company as the first in China to possess the capability to test ±800kV DC converter transformers and Ping Wave reactors, significantly enhancing its technical competitiveness in the ultra-high voltage (UHV) field.
To meet the demanding testing requirements for ±800kV UHV products, Shenheng initiated a comprehensive project titled "Series Resonant Transformer and DC Voltage Generator Technology Upgrade." Throughout the implementation phase, the engineering team demonstrated bold innovation, achieving over 90% energy efficiency improvements by utilizing the series resonant transformer technology. This not only reduced power consumption but also improved the overall performance and reliability of the testing system.
In addition, the team proposed an integrated structure DC voltage generator solution, which was successfully implemented by the manufacturing plant. As a result, Shenheng became the first company in China to develop and produce fully integrated DC high-voltage equipment, setting a new industry benchmark.
Following a period of trial operation, the system has proven to be safe, stable, and highly efficient. It fully meets the rigorous testing standards required for ±800kV DC UHV products, ensuring that TBEA remains at the forefront of technological innovation in the power transmission sector. This milestone reflects the company's commitment to advancing its capabilities and supporting the development of next-generation power infrastructure.
