Forest View was the scene of a fire involving a couple of semi-trucks on Monday, located at 5200 W 47th St. As I was heading from my house, I caught sight of the smoke coming from the area near 39th and Lombard. The first photo was taken with my phone while crossing the Central Bridge. Here are some of the images I captured on the spot.
The flames were visible from quite a distance, and the heat radiated through the air. It was clear that the situation was serious, and emergency services were already on the scene. The trucks were fully engulfed, and the smoke was thick and dark, making it hard to see what was happening behind the fire.
I took several photos from different angles to capture the intensity of the blaze. Some of the shots show the burning trailers, while others highlight the surrounding area and the efforts being made by firefighters.
