·Youkehao is on the list of key sewage companies in Suzhou

Recently, Suzhou City, Jiangsu Province released the list of key pollutant discharge units in 2017, and Suzhou Youke Haoma Tire Co., Ltd. was among them.

It has been found that in addition to Youke Homa, the names of many tire peripheral companies such as Suzhou Baohua Carbon Black Co., Ltd. also appear on this list.

In recent years, Youke Haoma has expanded its business in mainland China year after year. Its Japanese parent company, Yokohama Rubber, said it will invest 27 billion yen (about 1.65 billion yuan) to increase production facilities around the Suzhou plant.

According to reports, by 2020, Yokohama Rubber intends to make China the largest overseas tire production base.

A person familiar with the matter told Tire World that the tire manufacturer has made great efforts in environmental protection.

In 2016, the environmental credit evaluation results of non-state-controlled enterprises in Suzhou City showed that Suzhou Youke Haoma Tire Co., Ltd. was rated as a blue enterprise with excellent environmental behavior.

“As a production-oriented company, once a tire has violated regulations in the production process, it will have an adverse impact on the environment,” an industry source said.

In April 2017, Shandong Yokohama Rubber Industry Co., Ltd., the brother unit of Suzhou Youke Haoma Tire Co., Ltd., was given administrative penalties by the Linyi County Environmental Protection Bureau of Weifang, Shandong Province for failing to set hazardous waste identification marks for rubber products production projects.
