In this paper, the use of MSC.PATRAN for finite element analysis of a bus body structure has important implications for reducing product costs and increasing market competitiveness.

The establishment of a complete vehicle finite element model Based on the CATIA geometry model, as well as the frame and vehicle structure inspected on site, a complete vehicle finite element model was established. Because the frame structure is often made up of parts with irregular cross-sections, it is difficult to fully simulate the beam elements, and the analysis accuracy is difficult to guarantee.
