Last June, the Chongqing Municipal Geological Prospecting Bureau 107 teams involved in Lee Town, Changsha dam started manganese ore resources survey project. After half a year of hard work in the field, the drilling footage was 1,273 meters, of which 4 holes were found in the mine, and 1 old mine exposed the ore layer. The mine rate was 71%. After analysis and testing, the average thickness of the manganese ore layer was determined to be 72 cm. Up to 1 meter, the highest grade reached 18.64%, according to preliminary estimates, the mine can obtain more than 1.2 million tons of manganese ore resources. At present, the project has entered the stage of geological report preparation. After the owner obtains the mining license, he will proceed to carry out the follow-up deep exploration work. Editor's Note: For a long time, the county's manganese industry has been relying on the introduction of resources from the surrounding areas, facing the dilemma of shortage of raw materials. Many units have come to our county to carry out manganese ore exploration, but all ended with no substantive breakthrough. On September 4, 2008, the county party secretary Chen Yong led the heads of relevant departments of land, transportation and other departments to Nanmu Township to go deep into the deep forests of the Lion Rock and Wangjiatun areas of Hongqi Village. He walked for more than 4 hours and ran over 9 rivers. He firmly believes that there must be a large number of high-grade large-scale manganese deposits in our county. In the past two years, our county has focused on resources to grasp the industry and to attract investment around resources. The facts prove that this strategy is correct. Now, after many efforts, we have explored a wealth of manganese ore resources, and the confidence of our county's large-scale industry is even greater.

Disadvantage of lost wax castings:

The production cycle is relatively long and it is not suitable for large products in terms of the features of this kind of process.

Classification of lost wax casting:

1. Sodium silicate casting: large surface roughness, low dimension accuracy with short shell making cycle. The hardening technique is chemical process. Normally most of Carbon Steel Investment Casting and alloy Steel investment casting are made by this kind of lost wax casting process. 

2. Silica sol casting: Small roughness, high dimension accuracy with high material costs and long shell making time. The hardening process of shell is a natural process under certain temperature and humidity. Normally stainless steel investment castings are made by this kind of lost wax casting process.
