From what I gathered from John Tulipano's account, a dryer fire that hadn't yet spread occurred today around 4:10 PM in Winfield. Firefighters were promptly dispatched to 27W212 Providence Court where they found smoke and flames venting from the garage door and laundry room area of a two-story, four-unit condo building measuring about 150 feet by 50 feet. Chief 31 arrived on the scene to oversee operations as firefighters deployed a single hose line and swiftly extinguished the fire. Assistance came from Carol Stream, West Chicago, and Wheaton units. Attached are some photos I took during the incident. In one picture, you can see the Pierce tower ladder truck in action. Another shot captures a chief officer surveying the scene, and there’s also an image featuring Chief Fire Officer Robert Hoff. There’s a dynamic photo showing firefighters wielding the hose line, while another highlights the presence of a Pierce PUC vehicle at the location. One final shot focuses on the firefighters examining the source of the fire near the dryer. It's always reassuring to see how quickly these professionals can handle such situations, ensuring everyone's safety and minimizing damage. Let’s hope no one was hurt during this event.
