I just came across some awesome news on the Bartlett Fire District's Facebook page! They’ve recently added a brand-new Battalion 3 buggy to their fleet, and it’s packed with some impressive upgrades. Here’s what caught my attention:
First off, they’re following the clean cab concept by keeping firefighting gear, which could potentially carry contaminants, out of the cab area and storing it securely in the back of the truck. This is a great step toward improving the safety and health of their team.
Another cool feature is the enhanced equipment space. The truck’s design includes a rear cap that provides extra room for all their gear, making it easier for them to stay organized and prepared during emergencies.
And here’s something really innovative—the vehicle comes equipped with a tethered drone that can be deployed directly from the truck. This tool is designed to enhance accountability and provide better situational awareness during operations. It’s like having an extra set of eyes in the sky!
